Inspired by ancient Roman jewelry, this necklace is made up of irregular light blue iolite and alternating links of gold-plated wire in the form of a Herculean knot. The Herculean knot has often appeared in jewelry since the 4th century B.C. As an elaborate and most stable form of knot with two strands, it stands for the perfect union of two partners and could therefore symbolize a wedding. This necklace comes complete with a hook and eye closure. Measures 20 in.
