The de Young Patterned Apron

Handmade in San Francisco, these charming cotton and linen aprons are the fun accessory to keep you tidy in the kitchen. These aprons are fully adjustable by pulling the straps and it can also be worn as a bistro apron by folding in half. San Francisco-based Kaoru Sanchez designs textiles with a contemporary flair and a fun, quirky use of modern color. These exclusive designs were created in celebration of The de Young Open 2023 exhibition featuring artwork from the nine Bay Area counties.

“Everything inspires me at the de Young and it was so much fun making fabric patterns loosely based on The Garden of Enchantment, Ruth Asawa’s sculptures, the costume and textiles gallery, and the colors from de Young’s craft glass collection.” Choose from four different patterns. One size fits most. Measures 37  x 28 in with a 12 in split pocket and an adjustable strap measuring 132 in.
