The original bust this sculpture is expertly replicated from was created during the Hellenistic Age, 4th-1st century B.C., and currently resides in the Fitzwilliam Museum, in Cambridge England. The Roman god Bacchus or in Greek Dionysus, was known as the god of agriculture and was associated with wine and fertility. Replicated in antique-style stone, this large and beautiful bust will make a handsome gift for yourself or anyone who enjoys Roman history or artifacts. Measures 28 x 16 x 16 in.
