Phulkari is a traditional hand embroidery, which originated in the villages of Punjab, India. Literally translated, it means "flower work" which reflects the design which includes contemporary flower shapes and geometric patterns. Based in San Francisco, CA, Marigold Row showcases the craftmanship of artisans in small villages in India along with innovative and contemporary work of renowed designers working in industrialized cities in India.
