Botticelli Five Sibyls in Niches Shawl

Designed and created by Elizabeth Gillet for the Legion of Honor on the occasion of Botticelli Drawings, this lusciously soft and dreamy modal shawl is the perfect accessory to transition from fall to winter. Featuring Sandro Botticelli's Five Sibyls in Niches: The Persian, Libyan, Delphic, Cimmerian, and Erythraean, ca. 1465–1470, this exclusive shawl will look elegant tucked into a coat or wear loosely draped in your arms. Measures 40 x 76 in.

Botticelli Drawings at the Legion of Honor is the first exhibition ever dedicated to the drawings of Renaissance artist Sandro Botticelli (ca. 1445–1510). Exploring the foundational role drawing played in Botticelli’s work, the exhibition traces his artistic journey, from studying under maestro Fra Filippo Lippi (ca. 1406–1469) to leading his own workshop in Florence. From Botticelli’s earliest recorded drawings through expressive designs for his final painting, the works on view reveal the artist’s experimental drawing techniques, quest for ideal beauty, and command of the line.
