Charley Harper is best known for nature illustration with minimal detail and maximal charm—wildlife with a midcentury modern twist. He developed his affinity for the natural world while tromping the Appalachian foothills near his childhood home, and he went on to a career in art deeply rooted in environmental conservation. “Charley simply wanted human beings and animals to coexist,” said Harper’s son, Brett. “His was a voice of moderation. I heard him say once, ‘A painting is often worth a thousand words.’ He had faith in his art as a quiet agent of change.” With this calendar’s 12 eye-catching images and gentle humor, you’ll be celebrating our wonderful world all year long—Harper-style. Measures 12 x 13 in.
