This aptly named decorative tile commemorates the 150th anniversary of Frank Lloyd Wright's birth on June 8, 1867. The artwork is derived from the art glass window design from a house he built for Avery Coonley in 1912, which used to house Coonley's wife's kinder school.
Motawi tiles are made with a custom mix of clays and pressed from original plaster molds. Every tile is hand-glazed and embossed on the back for authenticity. At approximately 5/8 inches thick, every tile has a notch in the back for hanging unframed. Made in the USA. To clean, wipe with a damp cloth using mild soap. Ceramic. Measures 6 x 11 in.
