The adorable amethyst teardrops in these classically stylish earrings were manufactured by a talented glass artist using centuries-old manufacturing processes in mid-century West Germany. They are lovely examples of Sabrina glass. Sabrina glass, made by infusing color into a translucent stone, was popular in the early 20th century. Finished with nickel-free and lead-free brass lever-back ear wires. Grandmother's Buttons specializes in heirloom jewelry handmade from antique buttons and vintage glass, designed and handcrafted in St. Francisville, Louisiana USA. Measures 3 x .5 in.
