Sargent Pomegranates Majorca Trivet

Created in celebration of the exhibition Sargent and Spain at the Legion of Honor museum in San Francisco, this sandstone trivet features John Singer Sargent's Pomegranates, Majorca, 1908. Use this absorbent sandstone trivet under your pots and pans, pitchers and bottles, to keep your counter and tabletops clean. If your trivet becomes stained, soak in hot water with a mild liquid detergent for 60 minutes, rinse thoroughly, and let air dry. For stubborn stains, use one part household bleach and three parts hot water and soak overnight. Measures 7 x 7 in.

Sargent and Spain at San Francisco's Legion of Honor museum is the first exhibition to explore the influence of Spanish culture on John Singer Sargent’s dynamic visual practice. The artist developed his passion for the country and its culture over the course of seven visits, taken from 1879 to 1912. Sargent’s powerful early oils—executed at Madrid’s Museo del Prado—mark the beginning of his long interest in Spain, its rich traditions, its people, and its magnificent urban and rural landscapes.
