This elegant trivet features artwork by artist Kenojuak Ashevak. Her cultural background is Inuit, and she was born at the south Baffin Island camp of Ikirisaq, and grew up traveling from camp to camp on south Baffin and in Canada's Eastern Artic. Ashevak's early work appeared in Cape Dorset Annual Graphics Collections, launching a career that would include numerous national and international commissions, special projects, exhibitions, and many honors for her achievements. This striking trivet is individually boxed and is made of ceramic with a cork backing and come with a hanger so can also be used as a decorative wall tile. Measures 6 x 6 in.
