The Dancing Faun of Pompeii

Named the House of the Faun because of the dancing faun sculpture discovered within, this beautiful museum accurate replica was originally found in the ruins of an opulent house during the 1830 excavation of Pompeii and is thought to have been created in 1st-4th century A.D, Rome. Cast in fiberstone and finished with a green-bronze finish, this beautiful replica will add a classical touch to your home decor and makes a handsome gift for yourself or anyone who enjoys Roman history or artifacts. Measures 19 x 4.5 x 8 in.

An excellent reproduction of an icon of ancient Pompeii. There are innumerable statues that deserve to be reproduced and offered for our enjoyment and education. If only this unfounded aversion to full frontal male nudes was not so ingrained in the conservative museum administrations. Down with the fig leaves gentlemen. Dylan Norton
