The Venezia Pedestal Bowl is a beautiful exercise in design with the inner bowl containing an elaborate engraved design. To create, first the design was hand-drawn, and transferred to the disc. Then, over the course of a day and a half, the artisan painstakingly engraved the design. When finished, it was used to create the mold from which the bowls are made. Each piece is stamped with hallmarks representing MATCH's workshop, their company, the tin content of the alloy and the region of Italy where each piece is made. MATCH pewter is handmade in northern Italy, in a small workshop, by artisans who have honed their craft using methods gleaned over generations. Since each piece is handmade, it will vary slightly and imperfections are apart of their charm. Comes boxed and with a dust cover, for easy gift giving. Measures 9 x 7 in.
