This tile is the perfect fusion of art nouveau and Motawi. The design itself was discovered in a book of period tiles. The whiplash floral motif is pure nouveau, while the way the border melds with the design is pure Motawi. Motawi tiles are made with a custom mix of clays and pressed from original plaster molds.  Tiles are approximately 5/8″ thick and have a notch in the back for hanging unframed. Each tile is hand-glazed and embossed on the back for authenticity. Made in the USA. To clean, wipe with a damp cloth using mild soap. Ceramic. Measures 4 x 4 in.
