This 100% wood doll features Unagi-Inu, a polite, laid-back eel-dog who will often use honorifics in his speech from Akatsuka Fujio's iconic manga series Tensai Bakabonwhich is about the misadventures of a dim-witted boy (Bakabon) and his idiotic father, the latter of whom eventually becomes the central character. Handmade with wood from sustainably managed forests, this doll undergoes twenty different processes from carving, to polishing, to painting and finishing. Each and every kokeshi doll is carefully crafted to have the warmth of wood and a gentle expression. To care: do not touch with wet hands, do not store in direct light, or in hot or humid environments, do not place in a location with extreme heat changes, clean with a dry, soft cloth.
