Inuit Art Playing Cards

About 1,200 miles north of Toronto, the hamlet of Kinngait (Cape Dorset), Nunavut, is home to a multigenerational community of graphic artists. Their cooperatively owned printmaking studios have been in continual operation since 1959, producing unique, captivating, and powerful images. The cards in this deck feature art by preeminent printmakers, including Kenojuak Ashevak, Ningiukulu Teevee, Kananginak Pootoogook, Saimaiyu Akesuk, Qavavau Manumie, and more. Playing card varnish and linen finish for a smooth shuffle. High-quality 250-GSM cards have just the right ratio of flexibility to sturdiness. Each deck includes 52 playing cards and 2 jokers, plus two additional cards featuring art and an artist bio. Box size: 3 x 3.75 x 1 in. Card size: 2.5 x 3.5 in.
