Influenced by Marblehead Pottery, Frank Lloyd Wright, Greene and Greene, and many more, this cermic pottery vase combines intricate, precise linework and a flowing, organic illustration of a chickadee amongst the blooming cherry blossoms. Standing out against the rich chestnut glaze, the pink accents of the cherry blossoms create a stunning contrast that encapsulates the beauty of the natural world. Created and designed by Matthew Drees, one of 8 master potters at Ephraim Faience Pottery, as a tribute to his years at Ephraim, the Chickadee Songbird Vase is truly indicative of his unending experimentation and search for inspiration. Ephraim Faience Pottery is an American art pottery company founded in 1996 in Wisconsin by Kevin Hicks, specializing in pottery inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement of the early 20th century. Each piece of pottery is hand-thrown and sculpted by one of their eight artisans and finished with Ephraim Pottery's in house-designed glazes. Comes with a company stamp on bottom. Due to the handmade nature of this product, slight variations in pattern are to be expected. Traditional earthenware art pottery is porous, glass liner recommended for use with water. Measures 8.75 x 4 in.
