Handmade in Italy, these 18-karat gold-plated silver earrings are handcrafted from antique Venetian coins depicting a lion, symbolizing courage, protection and freedom. They are enhanced by two beautiful garnet gemstones. Since the earrings are very lightweight, you can comfortably wear them all day. Finished with post backings. Designed by Alessandro Ricevuto and handmade in her studio in Italy, her jewelry is inspired by the iconographic symbolism of Italian arts, history and culture. Each piece is created with extreme dedication to ensuring each piece is realized using the highest quality raw materials and centuries-old manufacturing techniques that have been passed down from father to son in the town of Torre del Greco, one of Italy's four famous jewelry districts. Measures 1.2 in.
