The crown imperial flower, also known as the Persian lily, grows in Motwai Tile's gallery garden. In addition to that environmental inspiration, this tile design is based on an art nouveau image Nawal Motawi discovered in a book. Motawi tiles are made with a custom mix of clays and pressed from original plaster molds. Every tile is hand-glazed and embossed on the back for authenticity. At approximately 5/8 inches thick, every tile has a notch in the back for hanging unframed. Made in the USA.
