Produced using thick recycled paper board, this charming 500-piece puzzle is the perfect activity for the whole family. Chiura Obata left Japan as a teenager and settled in San Francisco. In summer 1927, he traveled to Yosemite National Park and the Sierra Nevada, where he made over 100 drawings and paintings of his adopted homeland’s natural beauty. From 1928 to 1930, in Tokyo, Obata translated 35 of these sketches into color woodblock prints. With each of this puzzle’s 500 pieces, you will be part of the “living moment” as Obata successfully captured the essential nature of a scene in Clouds, Upper Lyell Trail along Lyell Fork, Sierra, California. High-quality 250-GSM matte art paper for superior color, crisp details, and no glare. Ribbon-cut thick board for snug fit and minimal dust. Includes an 8 x 10 in. insert of the art for puzzle assembly reference. Measures 27 x 18 in.
