The Legion of Honor, a magnificent Beaux-arts building was modeled after the neoclassical Palais de la Légion d’Honneur in Paris. The museum, designed by George Applegarth, opened in 1924 on a bluff in San Francisco’s Lincoln Park overlooking the Golden Gate. Celebrating its hundredth anniversary in 2024-2025, the Legion of Honor showcases European painting, sculpture, decorative arts, ancient art, graphic arts, and contemporary art. This solid navy hat with stitched lettering keeps your hair out of the wind and shield your eyes from the sun and is the perfect keepsake to remember your visit to San Francisco and the Legion of Honor on the occasion of its' 100th birthday.
