The Pie timepiece designed by Tibor Kalman for Project Watches takes the phrase “carve out some time” literally. This watch cuts a slice out of the classic brass version of the Bodoni watch, incorporating Kalman's signature wit with only a quarter of a clock. Founded by Tibor Kalman in 1979, M&Co is a New York-based graphic and product design consultancy known for its innovative use of imagery and type to create imaginative and witty designs. During its 14-year history, M&Co worked on a variety of projects ranging from videos and album covers to stationary and ID systems—including the title sequences for such movies as Jonathan Demme's Something Wild, Silence of the Lambs, and David Byrne's True Stories. Band measures 11 × 1.5 × .7 in. Watch face measures 1.3 in.
