Tagame Tomorrow T-Shirt

The de Young Museum Store has commissioned renowned manga artist Tagame Gengoroh to create an original drawing in celebration of the exhibition and San Francisco Pride. Best known for his contributions to gay erotic manga, Tagame’s work explores themes of love between men, identity, and the challenges of coming out. The commissioned artwork, titled Tomorrow, features two men wearing and holding shirts with “Marriage Equality” and “PRIDE” messages, alongside the LGBTQ+ flag.

This exclusive t-shirt featuring Tagame's Tomorrow was created in celebration of The Art of Manga exhibition on view from September 27, 2025 through January 25, 2026 at and organized by the de Young museum located in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, CA. This super soft and easy to wear t-shirt is the perfect keepsake from this historic exhibition. Printed in California. 100% cotton.

Art of Manga spotlights artistic expression in innovative Japanese comics and graphic novels that are rapidly becoming an internationally recognized mode of communication. Drawing from both Western comics and satire and Japanese printing and art history, manga immerses readers in stories that often become forerunners of greater cultural shifts.
